This project involved the design of a new public visitor center for the town of Hyannis, Massachusetts. The program is composed of a welcome center, harbormaster office, and restroom facilities. The building is located in close proximity to Main Street and the town center; it’s also adjacent to the primary ferry port for visitors going to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. As such, the project is seen as an important ‘gateway’ to the Town for the numerous tourists and visitors that Hyannis receives every summer.
